Looking for ways to better share your research, or just want to learn a new communication skill set?
The Jarman Lab @ Pitt is accepting applications from faculty, staff and graduate and professional students from across all University of Pittsburgh schools, departments and units.
This free, how-to intensive on filmmaking is led by instructors from the Derek Jarman Lab at the University of London. At the end of the four-day bootcamp, each participant will have completed a short film — scholarly, artistic or practical. Here are examples of past projects.
“The workshop is set-up to accommodate a variety of skill levels, and part of that structure means that we can have freedom to pursue our vision,” said one 2024 participant. “Though the highly compressed time frame and parameters for the project are demanding, these formal constraints provide some necessary guiderails and provoke creativity.”
Apply by Feb. 21 for a May session. Questions about the program or application can be directed to c4c [at] pitt.edu.
