15 Pitt students have completed Pitt’s inaugural Physician Assistants Advancing Diversity (PAAD) program, which introduces students from across the University to the physician assistant/associate profession.
During the weeklong program, participating students attended classes and discussions by faculty on the Pittsburgh campus. They also had the opportunity to learn in Pitt’s cadaver lab.
In particular, many undergraduate students are unsure of what qualifications they may need to enter that profession. This weeklong free experience also provided coaching through the PA application process and clinical shadowing hours.
This opportunity from the School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences is open to all students actively enrolled at any Pitt campus and includes lodging, meals and transportation to and from shadowing sessions.
