The venue for the University of Pittsburgh’s spring commencement is being moved to PPG Paints Arena. The commencement date remains the same — May 4, 2025 — and the ceremony will begin at 2:30 p.m.
As Pitt graduates its largest class ever this May, this change will ensure every student can participate and receive an appropriate number of tickets for their family and friends.
Eligible graduates will receive invitations from the Office of Special Events in the next few weeks, with an April 9 deadline to register for the ceremony. Eligible graduates will receive four tickets to the ceremony, with the opportunity to request up to two additional tickets if they become available when students register to attend the ceremony.
