Dara Méndez was honored by Pittsburgh’s Professional Women’s Network

Pitt Public Health’s Dara D. Méndez has won the Ladies Who Lead Award from Pittsburgh’s Professional Women’s Network.

Méndez was among four winners of this year’s Ladies Who Lead Award, which puts a spotlight on women who work to mentor, sponsor and help other women across industries. It’s the eighth annual batch of honorees from the network, which aims to help women excel in their personal and professional lives while being a positive and active influence in their communities.

Méndez is an associate professor in the Department of Epidemiology, associate director of the Center for Health Equity and co-director of the EMBRACE Center of Excellence. Méndez is a graduate of Spelman College and received her PhD from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
