Angela Hindes, a staff member in Pitt’s Center for Creativity, has been selected as a Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh artist-in-residence.
Hindes, who creates art under the name Angela Oddling, has worked in the Center for Creativity since 2022. Her illustration work includes designs for comics, graphic novels, games,and other publications. She also facilitates workshops focusing on creative processes, such as storytelling through comics and zinesI, working through creative block and imposter syndrome, and other traditional and digital methods of creating like drawing, painting, bookbinding and typesetting.
Through the artist-in-residence project, Hindes will help build organizational collaboration with diverse artists, serve communities and create other art experiences at a Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh branch.
