Funding from Takeda Pharma

The University of Pittsburgh is expanding its successful partnership with Takeda Pharmaceutical Co. and is seeking requests for proposals for funded research projects across a range of categories. Funding can be up to NIH (R01) levels and most projects are expected to be in the range of 18-30 months. 

Therapeutic areas of interest include:
• Rare Diseases
• Oncology
• Neuroscience
• Gastroenterology
• Early-stage Innovation & Platforms

Alex Goddard, associate director, academic innovation, at Takeda will present Takeda’s priorities for this opportunity on Thursday, Sept 24, from 3-4 p.m. via Zoom.
with the ability for participants to ask questions. Please register in advance for this event.

Selected non-confidential respondents will be invited to co-develop a full proposal with a Takeda scientist. Proposals can take advantage of Takeda resources, including screening, protein engineering, computational biology, and other IND-enabling studies.
