Friday Deadline: Community Engaged Scholarship Forum Awards and Workshops

The deadline to submit nominations for the two awards honoring individuals at the 2021 Community Engaged Scholarship Forum (CESF) and workshop and poster presentation proposals is this Friday, Dec. 11, at 11:59 p.m.

Awards

  • The Soska Wilds Outreach & Engagement Leadership Award honors a faculty member or staff engagement professional who serves the University through their outstanding dedication to University-community connections. Individuals nominated must be a current or recently retired employee of Pitt with at least five years of service. Nominations from any member of the public will be accepted.
  • The CESF Collaboration Champion Award recognizes a member of the Pitt community or a community partner who has made significant contributions to Pitt’s culture of collaboration, further sustaining and supporting the University’s commitment to strengthening communities through teamwork. There is no minimum employment or education requirement for nominees. Nominations for this award are accepted from members of the Pitt community.

Workshop and poster presentations

Additionally, University community members are invited to submit workshop and poster submissions. The CESF planning committee developed low-barrier submission requirements: Workshop and poster submissions only need to submit a title, list of partners and a 50-word abstract.
